The State College Spikes were the fourth of my five August visits to New York-Penn League ballparks
August 20: Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, home of the State College Spikes (Class A Short Season affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals)

Culinary Creation: The Nittany Burger (two half pound patties, accoutrements)
Ballpark Character: Broadcaster Joe Putnam, who celebrated his birthday by wearing a robe and crown and, eventually, getting pied atop the dugout.
At Random: This is a great name for a drink cart.
